To sign up for Facebook, you need to provide a full birth day, including a birth year. Although you have to give the day for Facebook managers, you do not have to share your birth year with the world. Use your account's modifying menu to erase your birth year from your account. The adjustments work instantly, and good friends are not alerted when you modify whether your birthday celebration programs.

1. Click your name and thumbnail in the leading right edge of any type of Facebook display to be directed to your profile.

2. Click the light grey "Edit Account" switch on top of your account web page.

3. Go to the "Fundamental Details" tab on the left side of the "Edit Account" page.

4. Scroll down to the "Birthday" area of the food selection. Click on the arrowhead just under your birthday to subject a food selection for your birthday's display choices.

5. Select "Program just month & day in my profile" if you still wish to display your birthday celebration but do not want profile site visitors to see your birth year. Select "Do not reveal my birthday in my account" to erase your birthday celebration from your profile.

6. Click the blue "Save Adjustments" button at the bottom of the screen.
